James P. McGowan has been a licensed attorney in Ohio since 1995. During his career he has been a criminal defense attorney, public defender, municipal and county prosecutor as well as a police officer.  


As a police officer at the University Circle Police Department, Mr. McGowan realized how important labor representation was for any private or public sector first responder, so he organized a labor union where there had never been one before. 


This experience launched the McGowan Law Office labor union consulting service. Mr. McGowan understands how difficult it is to establish a brand new union or decertify an ineffective one. Let his experience make the process smooth and successful.
